Below is our Live Fantasy Football Expert Rookie Draft. This is not a mock, this is a real league in a competitive 12-team Expert League with some of the best fantasy Sites on the Web (like Rotoworld.com, FootballGuys.com (Smith), FFToolbox.com, FantasySharks.com, etc.).

Trade

Just as the draft began, we pulled off a blockbuster trade, but it didn’t involve a draft pick. We sent FFToolbox Roy Williams and Santonio Holmes and got back Chad Johnson and Todd Heap. Given that Owen Daniels was our starting tight end, we love the move from all angles. You won’t find many fantasy Sites that are as high on Santonio as we are, but Chad is worth the risk. And Williams may once again turn into fantasy gold if elsewhere in 2009, but again… Chad is Chad! Granted C.J. comes with some serious baggage, the kind that threatens to sit out the entire 2008 season, but his upside is insane. Our starting line-up, which is listed above, has some serious guns, so even though we aren’t involved much in this first- and second-round, we’re very pleased with our expert dynasty team.
